Hi guys, my friend ( a recent radio production graduate) is putting together an online/podcast audio drama based around the popular Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons crossover. Huh....this is interesting. I knew that this fandom was getting pretty big but I didn't know people were starting to take it into their own hands to animate this. I'd almost be interested to voice act for it cause I've always wanted to try it.

But this is kinda cool cause I love this fandom (and the shipping, LOL I feel like I'm trolling :P).

While I LOVE the Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons thing, as it's really really cool.

There is one tiny tiny thing that is pretty popular that I don't Like One. Bit:

the Shipping.

Meaning- Amazing canon couple gets broken up (rapunzel/Flynn, hiccup/astrid) in Favor of Fanon shipping- and the canon love lnterests become props. >I:(, while the canon ship-less canon characters get shipped (HELLO Merida's Entire story was about NOT wanting a boyfriend/fiancee!!! >I:(

can you please tell me that your friend is Not going to break off the canon couple!!! please, please, please!!

Hi; the piece will be staying as canonical as possible so there will be no breaking up of canon couples; Flynn will in fact be a strong supporting role and Astrid has a minor role. And Merida WILL be staying single; I know that. Hope that helps, and hope you want to contribute :-) x

This is a little off topic but...I see your point about Flynn and Astrid being shafted. However, I still like the shippings and I do hate it when people can't handle it properly. For me it's really just a matter about how fanfic writers handle the situation. If Flynn and Astrid just go away for no real reason, then yes, I don't really like it. There are some instances though, that people handle it properly and I love it. I'm just saying... :D

Thank you so much for posting the link to this! After seeing it, I sent in an audition and have been cast as Mother Nature! I started my own Tumblr (same username as here) so I could participate in the community more, and when I have updates on the project, I plan to crosspost them to my LiveJournal and Tumblr blogs.
