The Cosmic Rose

What is it about Mother Nature that makes her wreak havoc and devastation on the other side of the world, and on this side provide yet another sunny day in Pasadena for the Rose Parade? Last week it was pouring rain in Southern California. Next week's weather forecast is for more storms. Wedged in between is the one clear, pleasant day fit for a parade. The only reason I can figure out is that Mother Nature needs, like the old adage says, to occasionally stop and smell the roses. As we all should.
