So I took Renard to the bus station in Buffalo today. Crossing the border was fun >.>
(this is a truncated version btw)
"Where are ya goin'?"
"Kentucky for two weeks, to meet an old friend"
"What do you do for a living?"
"Nothing right now; Job-hunting"
"Job-hunting in Kentucky for two weeks?"
"So, you have no job, no bills, no nothing tying you to Canada. Do you at least have a return bus ticket?"
"Uhh no... it's on reserve at the bus station"
"Okay, I'm gonna hafta send you over to the immigration office to answer some more questions"
Now, at this point, I wasn't too worried about the interrogation so much as Ren missing the bus. We didn't have all that much buffer time set aside.
While we were inside, my ease was compounded by the fact that all the other people in there were black, hispanic, or pakistani, so we were at least doing good in that respect. When we got into the office, they looked on his computer (which could potentially be disastrous), and they also asked details about Ras and that kinda stressed me too. Don't ask me why they let him through; they had absolutely no reason to believe that he would return to Canada. I suppose we have renard's carefree and nonchalant border attitude to thank =P
In other news, I got a rejection email from the tour guide office :`(
I suppose the interview went worse than I thought >.>
And also, I spoke with the lovely Luce on the phone for the first time today, and it was a blast. He wasn't lying when he said he was an entertainer. How long did we talk? An hour and a half, maybe? Poor thing sounded like he was dyin' by the end of it (because he was sick, not because I was unbearable XP ). I really need to get Skype :x
