I've been having some sleeping problems over the last couple weeks. It's not that I've been having trouble getting to sleep, or not getting enough sleep, but it seems that no matter how much I sleep, I never feel like getting out of bed in the morning. I'll sleep for 8 or 9 hours a few nights in a row, and I'll still snooze for 40+ minutes in the morning.
I've decided on a little remedy for this, and so far (that is to say, "this morning") it worked. I wrote a little note to myself and stuck it to my alarm clock (that is to say, DS). I've been having motivational issues for these first couple weeks of school, so the note said plainly "Show them what you're made of".
It was amazing how well it worked. This morning it was pouring rain, and I was soo tempted to skip my morning lecture, but that little note on my clock got me out of bed less than 5 minutes after the initial ring. Furthermore, I had a very productive day at school. I finished reading one of the required texts for Peace Studies, and I finished my GIS lab assignment remarkably early (it's not due for 3 more days).
I've decided that I'm gonna keep these little stickies stuck to the wall near my bed. Soon enough I'm gonna have a whole bunch! (Although I'm skeptical has to how well the motivational properties will stack). I have a lot going on this weekend, so I want to get as much school-work done as I can during the next few days.
I suppose that's really all I wanted to say. Yay sleep and yay waking up too!
