Banana Man

Dave has been using the song Banana Man by Tally Hall as an alarm lately.  He said that it's hard to feel shitty in the morning when you're listening to such a great song, so I decided to try it out.

The problem was that I have a test this morning at 9:30 and I think I was nervous that my new alarm wouldn't wake me up.  As such, I had woken up a few times myself over the course of the night.  The first time I woke up I frantically checked my clock, and saw it was only 5am.  Feeling a little silly, I looked out the window and noticed it was still entirely dark out.  I woke up a second time a little later and it was still dark out, so I said "David, go the hell back to sleep".  When I woke up the third time, it was light out, and I was still kinda nervous that I overslept, and when I checked my clock it said 7:40 (I set my alarm for 8).  Even though I probably could've just got up then, I really wanted to test-run this alarm, and went back to sleep.

When the alarm finally went off, it startled me a bit, but after that, I couldn't help smiling. The song just puts a grin on my face, and I was so eager to get up, and even make a LJ entry about it  =)
