He didn't admit it to many people, but it is was still the subject of his infrequent nightmares. Waking up in the coffin and the dark, the terrifying moment of confusion, fighting your way free through wood and dirt as it gets into your mouth and eyes and hair. Breathing it in because you still think you need to breathe, shaking and panting as you lay on it when you get free. Just like those first terrifying moments make you cling harder to your un-life, he clings onto Xander tighter when those dreams hit to hold onto they life they have made
