WIth one year of College under my belt, what have I learned?
I have learned a lot over the year that has gone by since my high school graduation.
I have suffered (and will again) under the physical and mental strains of summer landscaping 10+hrs a day 5 or 6 days a week.
I have felt the pressure for academic success, and the amount of work it takes to succeed.
I have learned what it is like to have no one but myself to do my laundry, clean my room, wash my clothes, scrub my toilet and shower, tell me to get a hair cut, or make me food.
I have also learned what it is like to feel my money being flushed down the toilet when I don't get a good enough grade in a class that I am paying a lot of money for.
I know what it's like to have no one looking over my shoulder, and to still have the confidence and self control it takes to do what is right.
I've learned that I can't take my family for granted, and that they are more important to me than I had ever imagined.
I've leaned about the kind of effort and determination it takes to keep a long distance relationship strong and thriving, and have grown in amazing ways because of it.
I've learned to form my own beliefs, be they political, social, etc.
I've learned how to manage time.
I've strengthened my sense of self beyond what I ever thought it could be.
And most of all, I learned nothing I do matters if God is not there with me.
Oh, and I learned a bunch of stuff about Math, Science, English, History, Music, Business, and Psychology too.
