Entry complete with funny photos!
I don't know if I mentioned it before, but (little sister) Marie and her friend Harris dropped by on their way down to NC for a wedding (Harris is from the Tar Heels State).
After a day of frantic cleaning, I managed to get the place pretty good for their visit. Only the bedroom remained in some disarray. I will be taking shots of the clean apartment soon, before I cover it all in paper again. My reward?
Marie: (Finding bedroom) "Now, this is what I recall your room being like..." >sigh<
Oh well. Least it's clean.
After that, we went looking for a place to eat at. On the way, Marie could hear the rumble of my worn-out tires (yes, I'm going to replace them...soon as I have $$$ to spare) and got worried, and called Mom, who told her to stop fretting - the Invincible Volvo has always been a loud car. Something about it being 15 years old.
The hunt for food switched into a higher gear: They were being noncommittal, and I, being poor, knew little about the restaurants in the area. But we did find one I had been to before and had liked the food at: Bill Bateman's Bistro & Wings.
The menu is about half an inch thick, and it's all good. We ate & caught up, with Harris & Marie also taking the time to make fun of the Towson U "Teeny-boppers." And themselves, and each other, and me. I quietly sat there and took it - I don't know harris well enough to shoot back, and I have learned not to tangle with Marie. Only took 'bout twenty years. :-)
Afterward, as I had brought my new digital camera, we had some fun with it:
Harris is the one in Green, and Marie is in Blue. Aww, aren't they cute? Pure illusion, I promise thee.
Drat. Blinked.
Harris the Highly expressive hams it up for the camera.
Not that she was alone... Hi-yaa!
Yes, I'm such a geek/nerd that my younger sister is stronger thgan I am. It's one of the reasons why I never really worry about her dating, though - she can probably beat most guys up! ;-)
Afterwards, they headed on to DC, where they would spend the night, and then on to NC... where they are now.
