(no subject)
my beloved macbook died a week ago, so i haven't had my own computer for the last 7 days - extremely convenient in the middle of a job with an insane deadline. but, because i'm amazing like that, i managed to finish everything on time, even though it meant working on my boyfriends computer (with a windows system, an unfamiliar tablet and an infuriatingly bad keyboard), which meant working only when he was at work or during the night when he was asleep.
but.
i had to spend quite a bit of money, but i got my new one yesterday, and it is absolutely amazing. much faster than the old one, and it has lion installed, which is nice. i even got iMail to work, which for some reason wasn't possible on my old one. and surprisingly, it was absolutely no problem at all to install my creative suite on the new computer, even though i didn't uninstall it on the old one (it died on me quite suddenly). i was really dreading that part, but apparently, without reason.
in other news, when all this book insanity is over (I've finished the illustrations, but theres's still work to be done before it goes to the printers), i'm sodding off to london again. with my mum. she hasn't been to england for 20 years (and, i think, has only ever seen the major tourist-y things), and she's a great travelling companion (I sound like the doctor when i say that XD).
