[Standing was the only thing he could think to do at the moment. Gloved digits somewhat relaxed, he continued to stare at his surroundings with darkened orbs and a blank expression across his face. He had no idea where he was, or why he was there. More importantly, he didn't understand why he was brought to this place or how he was going to return ( Read more... )

Wherever you was before, you're no longer there. This Adstrigendum, place created by failed space and time compression experiment.

Long story to tell. What kind of assistance do you need?

The area of city inside the barriers is called a safezone. And it, indeed is relatively safe, compared to what is outside of course. What is outside is called Wastelands, apparently compression is still occuring there. Things changes, various monsters wander around - it's very dangerous out there.

I can't really say how many of people live inside the city, as not everyone are active over the network, but it's a handful of them. There are clinic, here [x,y] and here [x,y], bar [x,y] and some other things I don't have yet marked on map.

Should I continue?

[He continued to listen to the words the man was telling him, doing some quick mental calculations.] ...What about locating food, weapons and shelter?

Food, weapons, all of this can be found around. Looting the shops is the most common way, you can get meat from animals, mostly from the herds of killer bunnies around - watch out, these nasty little critters are carnivorous. Some people attempt at growing plants, with spring just starting there are many possibilities.

As for shelter, as above. If building is empty, and stable it's up to taking. If you don't want to be alone Unohana's clinic offers temporary - or permanent - shelter for newly arrived. Some households adopts new people as well.

What's the currency here?

There is no currency, but a goods exchange.

I have nothing to exchange except the clothes I'm wearing.

That doesn't matter.

You're new here, no one expects you to have it. Most of us here are set on helping each other anyway. If you want to be led to clinic, just say. As for households, if you wish it someone may offer a place.

It's a tough situation, to be dropped in here, but you're not alone.

So residents barter or trade for things, while others take pity on others?

It's not a pity. People are just helping each other.

The exchange was more of : if someone worked hard to make a bar, it's in good tone, to bring something in exchange for the drink. As most of the things are findable around the city anyway.

A lot of the buildings look run down, while the wildlife is over run. Is there a government here or a form of organized anarchy?

Organised anarchy, for now. There are discussions on attempting organizing our community, but can't say how it will go.
