Now, I realize that Alton probably wasn't the first to think of it, but I think we can give him credit for Popularizing Brined Turkey which is now EVERYWHERE.
This year, if you are eating, or have ever eaten, a brined turkey give a little Thanks for Alton because I doubt he's seeing any sort of financial credit from all those pre-brined turkeys, brining kits and the like.
