I've been decoding reading this book, and it takes a while to process cause the entire book is written like a textbook - a textbook written by a snotty professor who is full of himself and uses his language to make himself feel important. But I keep reading because of the ideas he says are really intruging. Here's one excerpt that I found cool:

"Esoteric history is mythic history, a meta-theory about imagery and symbolic contents as evocative of a more actualized, visionary world. This has very little to do with card games, and has much to do with a protest against the desacralizing reductionisms of a detached empiricism that is all too often incapable of appreciating the deeper psychic life of the individual or the symbolic processes of personal transformation."

Another thing I came across for your consideration (that I thought was poetic/cool/intersting/something to meditate on):

Spiritual Chivalry

I was fooling around in photoshop (shock!) trying to work on some new artwork. But I was kinda stuck with where to start- so I tried a slightly different approach than I'm used to. I opened several photos at random from my comp and gave myself 15 minutes to use only those photos, gradients, and layer effects to make a finished art piece.
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK OF THIS!!!
I'm especially interested in your immediate emotional response and the very first thing you think of when you see the picture.

spirit, art, crit, introspection
