Whee fun jewelry/beading post.
My Mom had gotten me a ton of clothes for Christmas - most of which was returned. So she just finally told me to use her credit card to buy what I wanted ... so of course instead of clothes I bought beads.
Mostly I'm usually very careful about what beads I buy ... or as maryling puts it, I "dither" over every little bead before deciding to buy them. But I couldn't resist these cool looking beauties:
Ironically they are called "rainbow stones" and are a manmade stone. I have no clue what the hell I'm going to do with them, but I think they are really awesome.
And I also just purchased my most expensive strand of beads to date : gorgeous mystic topaz of the highest quality (AAA).
About $40 for 35 beads ... but it's sparkily! And I plan on using it for myself! You know unlike all the other times I bought something "for myself" and the felt guilty about it later and deciding it was something to sell.
Maybe I'll use some in future jewelry pieces to sell but the best two stones -- those are immediately going onto ear wires and into my ears!
