How is it that the day I'm awake when so called normal ppl are, and no one is online!!?!

My Mom's surgery went well. Now begins two weeks of being face down. Fun, fun.
I watched the sun rise from the waiting room - like literally from the first poking rays of light to seeing the whole sun. We got to the hospital at 5:30a.m. (There's a 5:30AM?!?! I've heard rumors of it's existance!) and she was in surgery by 7; done and home by 9:45.
While waiting and watching the sun rise, I did a bunch of crafty stuff. I kept the two nurses on duty entertained with my jewerly making and origami skillz. It was really cool to make a origami crane and have two strangers fawn over it. Seeing their eyes light up and one nurse walk down the hall pretending the crane was 'flying around' was really funny. Just one little piece of paper produced so much magic for all of us. Them in it's creation and me in their reactions. It just recharged something in my soul.
I ended up giving the one nurse the crane and got a huge hug for it.

I really really want to nap, but I can't. I laid down and couldn't sleep. I hate this feeling - I'm too tired and fuzzy to do anything useful, but not tired enough to fall asleep. Boo x.x
