Oh squee! Last night my girls* -
IU Women's Basketball - aged me. They won by 3 points and it was close the whole game. I spent the last 5 minutes hiding my face 'cause I was so worked-up I could barely watch. This morning three of the players,
Amber,
Jori, and
Sasha, came to class (I'm teaching them all at 10 am) and said that they had had a rough game too. :) Not surprising, it was very very close. But I knew they would triumph, and they did.
Here are a few things of note:
- Monday is not only Martin Luther King Day it is also White Out Against Purdue. Yes, we are play Purdue on Monday. I'll be there in white. Join me. (I sit right behind the team.)
- Our awesome head coach, Coach Felisha Legette-Jack got her 100th win this year. Go Coach Jack!! She did some charity work for Harmony School a few years ago and my husband met her. He came home and said she was a true lady and as a good a person as one can be. Go Coach Jack!
- Whitney Thomas might become an All-American. She was in the first class I taught at IU and she went to my high school, BHS North. :)
- I want this picture. It was taken last night. I was sitting 8 feet away.
And yes, I'm turning into a squeeing fan girl.
*Ok, they're not my girls, but I've had 6 of them in my class and well, I get motherly about them.
