IU Women's Basketball
I can't despise Smithville Telephone Company anymore. They just gave the IU Women's Basketball team $250,000.
Speaking of IU Women's Basketball...
I would like to offer to you all to join me at some games. The schedule is HERE.
Why go? Because I support women's sports. Period. Yes, yes, basketball is fine, but I support the women who work hard, play hard, and have fought hard to be athletes. They deserve to have supporters in the house. You know how much fun you have a roller derby? You have that much fun here as well.
Also, some of my past and present students are on the team. I enjoy yelling their names. They are delightful, wonderful human beings and move like the greatest RPG heroes when they get on that court!
I will keep posting about IU Women's Basketball. I hope you join me.
NEXT HOME GAME: December 12, 2008. I will be sitting with the team as an honorary coach that night!! YAY! But hey, you call can come too and cheer on our team!
BTW - The icon for the post I just made. It is one of my ex-students Whitney Thomas who is an amazing player. She also graduated from my high school, Bloomington High School North, so yes of course I am extra fond of her. ;)
