Good Friends
Richie, Heather and Ava arrived a few days ago and I don't think I've seen Jonny so happy in a long time. Him and Richie get together and they are just like a couple of teenagers. Laughing and joking around. It's wonderful though and I have to admit, after the kids fell asleep that first night, Heather and I had no problem doning our Bon Jovi t-shirts and playing "fan", while we all sat and drank beer and talked and laughed.
It was a good time. I hadn't realized how much we'd missed having them here, but we definately have. I know I've missed them terribly.
Today while the boys were in the studio, I took Heather down and showed her my dojo. I've got so many working and learning there now that I'm barely needed but I must admit, I still pack a mean kick and Heather seemed to really like the thought of the self-defense aspect of it. I'm going to try to get her to come down and take a few classes, she'd love it and be wonderful at it I'm sure.
Well, it's getting late here, so I think I'll go check on the kids and then find Jonny and get him to come with me on one of our long walks along the Jersey shore. It's plently warm enough and the stars are out.
