I am sitting here working on a project for my communications class while watching a movie that highlights American Culture at its best. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles... if you haven't seen it then you are truly missing out on a classic. I used to watch it a lot when I was younger but I never quite got it until I was old enough to understand the humore. Currently the scene is where John Candy and Steve Martin are driving down the highway in a rented shit of a car. John Candy just got his jacket caught on things in the car and proceeds to start driving into opposing traffic. A fellow car on the road tries to warn the clueless pair about the impending doom coming towards their direction. "Put your window down, You're going the wrong way." "Oh he's drunk, how would he know where we're going" "You're going the wrong direction, you're going to kill somebody". I love it comedy at its best. Another classic if you haven't seen it is "TheGreat Outdoors"... I think we highly underestimate the comedic ability of John Candy.
Moving on... today I went swimming at our multi million dollar rec complex, rated the best college rec complex by Sports Illustrated. I have to admit... it was pretty damn good. Hopefully I can keep up this workout and stat trimming down. Which means that it is time to go to bed, because I want to get up in the morning for a swim.
