Alrighty I am back from my wonderful trip to the College of New Jersey. I got so little sleep the last 2 nights. We got first place in the competition!! It was nice, but we're used to competing and alot of the teams there weren't so it kinda didn't feel as good to win because we won so badly. Our junior team beat most of the senior teams. There

yes!!! million dollar baby was awesome!
the thing that I really liked about it was the simplicity of the plot. It revolved around the lives of three main characters and because the movie was so centered and focused on these characters the audience could more closely connect with them. Nowadays, we've got movies with the top productions, movies with crazy intricate plots that are hard to understand and movies where things blow up for no reason at all. Million Dollar Baby was so pure and simple and stuck to the important part of film, the emotion. The movie had great character development and towards the end I was bawling. The thing is that MDB is so simplistic that some people may think it cheesey but I think that the movie hit the main and important aspects of a film.
I thought the movie was really well-crafted and had great organization because each scene had purpose to the overall film. i think i could go through the whole movie and explain the purpose and meaning of each scene. Also, this movie had amazing actors eastwood, swank, and freeman carried the movie with thier incredible abilites. If the movie had actors like david carradine (even though he is awesome), j lo, and ving rhames it would have been disastrous.
so geoff, i think you need to watch hotel rwanda because it's just as good as million dollar baby but in a different way. and ooHH! i think SIN CITY is coming out on april 1st you soooo need to see that. it's based off the frank miller comic and it will be freaking awesome.
