Oh Japan-chan
I'm a big fan of Studio Ghibli (what anime fan isn't?) and today I picked up Pom Poku. In the 60's, Japanese industry had this whole "encroaching on nature" thing and a lot of Japanese movies deal with that conflict. Pom Poku is a fairly entertaining kid's film on this theme.
Pom Poku is unique in that it is one of the only films (even out of Japanese films) that features, as Disney (the localizer) has it, "Raccoons fighting with their pouches," or as reality has it, "Tanookis beating the crap out of people with their nutsacks."
