The leak in the kitchen had been getting worse, and this week, Cat Lady finally had to get that section of the roof replaced. Not. Cheap.
Then, to add insult to injury, the leak in the bedroom, which had remained silent (after a small repair) for years now, opened up again Saturday night, and the water poured right into the ceiling fan, spraying it everywhere. Not yet sure what we're going to do there. Don't have the cash to replace the entire roof.
Dealing with that left us with maybe three hours of sleep for the night, before we launched into a previously-orchestrated loop through Jersey to pick up my folks, and then connect with my brother and his family and friends in Brooklyn. Cat Lady and I are staying over at my folks, and in a few hours, we're continuing back to PA to a doctor's appointment and chores, before we finally land home again in the afternoon.
Here's a random picture from Brooklyn; pretty sure the Hebrew simply means "pharmacy", but don't have an easy way to check from here.
