Debriefing of Operation Snuggle (13 -19 AUG 07)

Aug 20, 2007 00:56

littledee5 has been snuggled, but not nearly enough.

Objective MOVE-IN was completed - much faster and more enjoyably than Operation MOVE-OUT 2 months ago.

Directive RED LOBSTER was executed - twice.

Agent MONKEY is now hopelessly addicted to Mini Babybel.

Directive WATERPARK failed - with much disappointment by Agents MONKEY and SNUGGLEBUNNY.

We did a lot of cleaning, a lot of organizing, I cooked a bit. I tried my best to take care of
littledee5 while she was feeling under the weather. All in all, a most wonderful trip. I can't believe it went by so fast!

I flew back into Buffalo and was left at the airport for 40 minutes - the folks forgot I was coming back so early, and a call to their broken answering machine didn't help any. I finally got home, cleaned my room a bit, did laundry, a bit of schoolwork. Got to watch the finale of  "Ice Road Truckers" (yeah, I'm lame like that). My father and I worked up a wishlist for when we hit the junkyard next weekend - mainly parts for his car and mine.

I've been very lucky - I've sold a decent amount of books on Amazon Marketplace, and I've been getting good purchase prices. However, I can't believe the sheer number of scumbag online textbook retailers that undercut the hell out of us. I've had
littledee5's Statistics textbooks up for the last 6 months for $60, and they've been the lowest prices available. Sure enough, in the last week or so, I've been undercut by 80 other posters - the lowest being $2.25. How the hell do these guys make money selling a textbook that lists new for $120 for $2.25? They're listing NEW copies for $7.73. I don't know...
