I've neglected you for so long. What can I say? Kingdom Of Loathing has been borrowing a bit out of my "Internet Fun Time". I'm sorry.
So, how have you been? Still chugging along, I see.
What's been happening in my life, you ask? Well:
March 9th-12th, littledee5 and I went to Las Vegas to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had a lot of fun, until the trip home. We ended up staying at Bally's and did most of our Vegasing in Bally's, Paris and Rio. We went to the Neon Museum boneyard for a private tour of the old casino signage being stored for a brick-and-mortar museum being built. Went to the Voodoo Lounge atop Rio at night. Great view, even though I was crashing a bit. A lot of people were pushing for us to get married, including a pair of information staffers at Paris ("50 bucks, and we'll get you two and an Elvis impersonator at the top of the Eiffel Tower"). Very strange. Fun was had by all, until the trip home. littledee5 ended up sick Sunday morning and wasn't getting any better by the time her flight left at 8pm. So, I went to the airport with her at 4pm and stayed with her. In the process, I began to feel ill. Although I never really found out what it was, I ended up out of work all week.
I received a free laptop from a friend. I'm just having the hardest time finding an A/C adaptor for it that doesn't cost an arm an a leg. The biggest problem, it's one of the portable workstation HPs with a 135W (!) power supply. So I can't even buy a 3rd party adaptor locally... :(
I've discovered that the only benefit to attending ECC is my software allocation. I downloaded Microsoft SQL server (since I'm going to need it for a project), and I'm in the process of trying to get Vista Business (the frigging software keeps crashing during it's CRC checks on the DVD image)... Other than that, I got a 100 on the first exam for my Java class, and have not been late on a single homework or lab submission for either class. But we haven't received any grades other than the first lab, so I don't have an actual figure as to what grades I'm pulling...
