Well, It's almost been a week since i've been home.
landed on time around 3:30 local on saturday, even after leaving heathrow an hour late.
The air canada flight felt longer than it had been the day we left... i think it was because i was really anxious to come home. forced myself to stay awake until 8:30 and couldn't do it anymore.lol.
i had sunday and monday off which was nice, definately felt a little weird. Then it was back to work tuesday where I discovered i would be working then next six days in a row... loveley!
jet lag this time around isn't just a day and a bit of feeling ridiculously dizzy and nauseous (at least for me).. it seems to be almost a week of never feeling like you've slept enough... low energy, always tired. Definately don't think work helps either. It's hard to concentrate let alone be productive when you feel like a bag of sand lol.
there is not enough coffee in the world my friends! i'm horribly dependent
my house is a construction zone... they had started the balcony repairs just as i was leaving and were supposed to be done before i got home... then they realized how BAD the water damage was. there's a hole almost big enough for a person to fit through in the roof of my lower floor leading to the outside where my balcony should be... right behind my couch is a plastic drape with some extra 2x4 wood support beams and nothing to my back wall but the window and the wood frame of the wall. no stucco on the outside, no drywall on the inside. lol, all the stuff we had by that wall is in our dining room... good times!!
they thought they'd be done by the end of this week, it definately looks like it'll be another week or so before they're done. They're working on saturdays now to take advantage of the weather and to catch up on their deadline for the building... i'm pretty sure we're the ones who put them behind haha. They also think the place next door is gonna be just as bad.
Well, almost time to get ready to leave for work.... yay...
great to be home! now only if i was unemployed will all the money in the world... hmmm....
