Hallo oll
lol it's sunday evening here in edinburgh and for most of the day local shops have been closed, and mom and i have been doing literally nothing but watching tv and readin...aside from leaving for lunch lol.
definately needed a day though.. we walked so much yesterday mom passed out before 8pm and my legs are sore today lol
watched the closing ceremonies for the olympics after lunch, i woulda been sleeping at home and never would have seen it. however, the brit news crew kept going to parties in the uk and talking instead of actually letting us watch what was going on in beijing... really annoying.
tv picked up a bit with the second bill and ted movie (the one with the grim reaper and robots lol) and then came a show from here that has become a quick favorite....
Rory and Paddy's British Adventures.... basically it's two guys, a cute one and a fat one, best friends. go out to places around the uk and compete against each other in local events. they are absolutely hilarious... i've already bookmarked the website cuz i can watch the episodes online. the funniest show i've seen on the 9 tv channels here (i know, the number of working channels keeps changing, but i haven't counted...lol that would just be lame)
Read Twilight in two days... i could have finished it all in one if i hadn't left the hotel room. i loved it, though (warning, i'm about to get mushy), it made me miss dave more. i've started reading new moon and found that a few bookstores around here actually have eclipse in stock...definitely grabbing a copy ASAP lol
have an appointment to try on a few dresses tomorrow... and a couple of extra tasks to do. then for the rest of the week it looks to be mostly sighseeing unless we decide to take a commute by train and cab to another designer. either way, i'm coming back with the bridal party gifts and a lot of ideas.
i cant believe i'm leaving in five days.. i don't count saturday cuz we're leaving early. it's sad, but i'm looking forward to coming home, though definitely NOT for the jet lag that will ensue...and of course, going back to work. that's just depressing to talk about, so i'm going to stop thinking about it!!
people don't really talk much around here unless you adress them or they're with a friend...they usually nod an acknowlegement when you enter a store. that means we haven't picked up much of an accent. i know, it sucks lol. i'm not gonna lie though, we're started slipping with a few words and lines. it just feels wrong since we're sitting beside my purse with a canadian flag sewed on it lol. maybe it'll be more noticeable when i get home.
well, should think about what to do for dinner, and i missed dave online by a matter of minutes so he should be back on soon lol.
enjoy your day everyone! g'night!
