wow what day is it? Seriously..i don't remember numbers, I don't remember what day it is... all i know, most of the time, is what time i'm working...kinda sad huh?
I'm getting to the point where I feel like i need a few days, or 5-7 off before holiday starts. However, it's not gonna happen. My job is to cover and to be there...and let me tell you, holiday shopping has started...today was insane. At least there's always something to do.
And if it's not at work, it's at my new soon-to-be residence... the house has rolled up into a little ball of nasty on one side, and progress on the other.
The selling realtor arrived hours late the day we were supposed to get our keys because the male owner was on vancouver island and didn't courier them on time...cuz..you know...he had NO idea what day we were supposed to take ownership...yea... Said realtor then gave dave the keys and took off...PAST me and barb, got in his car and drove off. Why? Because the place was left in an absolute mess~!
To keep the list of issues short...I'll just cover it all by saying, we're taking the previous owners to small claims court....yeppers. I literally stumbled my words when the court lady giving me the papers asked me who i wanted to SUE...crazy ne? I've already shelled out $320 to fix a clogged toilet and a leaky shower fixture...we have to clean carpets, replace almost every appliance or get them professionally cleaned...
Dave has been mudding holes in the walls, I've painted all the storage and started in the bathrooms. My mom, grandma, and step sister coerced dave into letting them come and help.so basically, my mom TOLD him.lol. apparently today they primed the entire lower floor...which means less work for me, after work. All my days off and all my extra hours after work are spent there getting things ready and up to standard. I should be down there now helping dave..but i just need a few hours to myself.
I'm gonna go read in bed a little bit then get some sleep. I open tomorrow, have a cash training session for the first time in a while...then after my nine hour day, will paint the downstairs bathroom....clean it up, and that's one room down, a bunch to go. Progress. We won't be moving in this month, we'll be lucky if we're in by christmas, but that's our goal.
Ahh...such is the task list of my life right now.
On the brighter side of things, my place has major potential when everything is done! lol. My assessment, i felt, went quite well and from what i've heard, it was pretty positive. I have a few things i can work on over holiday and improve, and go from there. Sushi dinner with people i haven't seen or talked to in a while is coming up on monday, tuesday is a free IMAX 3D showing of Beowulf in riverport, thank you work! Should run into some work peeps from there. The hours leading up to those moments will be spent painting colours on my new place...it will definately instill some progress feeling. umm....i think that's really all that's coming up...it's all i can remember.
blargh...i want a vacation... oh yea, november 30th is the concert, hooray.
ok, i'm done. time to dive back into the books i've seemingly become addicted to...i've read more books in the last six months than i ever have, lol.
...i'm hungry...
