A couple of weeks back, when the snow still covered the ground, I struck my first Februrary-Swede pose of the year. For those of you who have never been to Sweden in February, or are new to the country, when the sun shines brightly from the sky you can see people standing about, leaning against walls, fences, or just standing there, eyes closed, lifting their faces towards the sun, just worshipping it.
So the word must be: februaripose
Put it in a sentence: Medan jag väntade på bussen intog jag den vanliga februariposen.
In English: Februrary-Swede pose
Put it in a sentence: I struck the usual February-Swede pose while waiting for the bus.
That was the first sign.
I get up at six thirty in the morning. For the last week I have had bird song accompanying my morning bathroom frivolities.
That is the second sign.
I went out to empty the compost bucket in the compost bin the night before yesterday (I make my own dirt in the garden) and discovered a tussock of snowdrops.
That was the third sign.
Stop the fridgidaire
Shun the bear's lair
Spring is in the air
disgusting word of the day,
poetry
