As a note, the Doctors were also red, which breaks it a bit as you say after the other types start showing.I realized this and thought about it as I was scouring the book to make sure I was remembering properly (yes, there is a passage where they specifically say the warriors are red, though not as frequently as saying doctors are red). I can volley with Native culture has both the warrior and the healer (shaman) iconified in our media, and that only made more sense to me. The watchmakers didn't necessarily fit in or out of my theory, as did not some of the others - which they weren't really discussed as much in this book anyway to draw a conclusion. I donno. It was pretty glaring to me throughout the book, especially in the beginning. Maybe I have a paper here. :) Too bad I didn't read this in lit. (And also, what I meant by cross breeds being sterile is that it sends that age old message that different races aren't meant to breed. And Browns - how slaves were silenced ( ... )

Oh, I think that you could build a paper on it. There have certainly been thinner thesis statements. :)

Discussion at http://community.livejournal.com/d3ciph3r_script/1429.html, though I didn't ever make a definitive "Okay it's this" post afterward.
