Lagos: A Muslim court in northern Nigeria has ordered that a 45-year-old man's leg be amputated as punishment for doing the same to his wife

Serves the fucker right. Frankly, I'm surprised a Muslim court SIDED with the woman, usually that sort of thing is accepted and the mere accusation of infidelity by a husband is taken as truth, and even considered grounds for murder.
While the punishment is admittedly severe, in cases like this, I wholeheartedly support such severity. Maybe if enough Muslim men are subjected to similar severity for their cruel and unfair treatment of women, they'll think twice about it. Most Muslim women in fundamentalist countries are treated no better than slaves or property by their husbands.
Oh I know....they are so fucked up over there HOWEVER I think if we had the same *eye for an eye* deal there *MIGHT* be a little less murdering...who knows...lol...
Get this....A man hung his wife upside down, cut off her ears, nose, and gauged her eyes and stabbed her....left her to die, she didn't and was brought to the US to have reconstructive surgery done....Nothing was done to the man, like you stated, they are always *justified* out there....grrrrrrr.
About damn time they get some justice for women there...
Random thing I noticed... most women involved in something newsworthy in Nigeria have the name Amina -- her and Amina Lawal. [And, by most, I mean I know of two. Eh.]
