Testing out Ableton Live 5 (with session audio clip)

Jul 03, 2005 13:29

I've been messing around with the new Ableton Live 5 beta. It's really sweet. Finally, I can freeze stuff. Delay compensation is also very nice (though I haven't really used it yet). It crashes a bit, but hopefully it will be stable by the time its commercially released.

For your listening pleasure, here's a 10-minute jam session I did using Live 5, Native Instruments Elektrik Piano (E7 patch), and Novation V-Station. The breakbeats made heavy use of Ableton's new Beat Repeat effect. The download is in MPEG-4 audio format, so you'll need an m4a compatible player (like iTunes) to play it. I'll be uploading an MP3 version soon.
