oh man have you people ever listened to your parents talk with childhood friends...under the influence? holy crap this is funny, worth an update. after a few drinks with some friends over from Colombia, the elder stated talking about the first time they watched TV lmao. So my dad says that his father (my granfather) won a color tv set like around October, and they used it for the first time on Dec 31 can you fucking imagine months of waiting to then watch a fucking mass, yes mass as in the pope, to inagurate your tv. And before that they all say that they'd watch tv out the rich neighbor's window, yes again out the window! And here's the one about the phone, when they first got them no calls came in b/c no one else had a phone! so they'd tell each other to go home so that they could talk to each other on the phone lmao. oh man too funny, I wonder who else's parents grew up funny like that or does this only happen in small pueblo life in Colombia?
