What's your opinion on spanking children?
*don't be silly; im not talking about abuse..i just mean simple spanking*

2)Violence is not an acceptable means to achieve something, and in spanking children one of the only thing that is achieved is fear, not respect. This fear can lead to problems later on in the child's life and as an adult, with his/her own children, he/she might decide never to spank their children because of their experience. However, they might decide to do it because they were taught that it was acceptable or necessary to do.
I might change my response under circumstances in which a child is behaving extremely bad and is out of control, to settle them down; but still, I don't think I would resort to spanking just because I can't stand it when other parents do it to their children. Sure, it's discipline, an easy way out; but there are other ways to discipline children and the discipline needs to come from within in the first place. I'm going off topic so there it is (:
and realize that it doesn't need to be abuse for it to be violence.
