(no subject)
alright, i know i have been neglecting this for a while but i desperately need to vent, and then count my blessings.
So, I've been sick for the past two weeks. First it started with a sinus infection, which turned into pink eye. Now my immune system is down, and this morning i found out i have a UTI..fml.
So, I'm dealing with a sinus infection, pink eye in both eyes, and a UTI all AT THE SAME TIME.
But in the midst of all this, this morning i had an epiphany in spanish class. these two words came to mind: RISE ABOVE.
I wrote the two words on my hand and kept saying it to myself all day. After this, good things started to happen. I had to drop my US & Latin American relations class because i couldnt keep up with my hectic schedule. surprisingly, my professor was really understanding and offered kind words instead of being indifferent or sarcastic. Also, my boss at my internship completely understood my reason for taking the day off and said really comforting things as well. I mailed out my tax returns at the post office, cashed two checks, and stopped in at my favorite store, OUTRAGEOUS to just chill out for a bit.
And above all, my boyfriend has been truely the best. ever. he quit his lunch plans and we relaxed together at his place instead and had lunch together, doing everything he could to make me smile. We even walked to class together afterwards. It's been two years, but he makes me happier than anyone ever has.
so hey, my situation does suck. but ive come to realize that the life i have is so very blessed. It could be so much worse!
