So someone explain this to me.
My brother and I went up to Mt. Washington today. Our phones are at ~1,919m above sea level when we raise them to our ears. I have 4 bars and he has 3, albeit both are roaming; better than I do at my own home (2 bars).

I don't have a digital cell, mine's analogue, and despite the satellites, it actually goes out on towers. I don't know if the digital ones are the same, but it could just be in terms of where you are to the cell towers, and have nothing to do with the satellites?
