I've done a hideous job of updating this thing, so I'll just try and point out some of the highlights of the recent weeks.
.
My wallet was stolen Thursday night, or so I thought. $200 in charges were made on my debit card, so I canceled the card and ordered a new one, then today when I went down to get the gate clicker fixed, the manager said they'd found the wallet (sans debit card) in the mail room, so at least I got that back (expired driver's license, starbucks card, grocery store club cards, etc).
.
My driver's license renewal was put on hold because my driving privileges were suspended in Oregon for a three-year-old ticket which was just for driving uninsured, for which I simply had to send proof of insurance, so I did that and paid the reinstatement fee and now just await my updated license.
.
My thesis is due in just over a month, and I'm freaking out about it, with the best of intentions to get working on it, and I do have at least all this week to do so, if I can buckle down. I'm hoping to go home this weekend and really work on it a lot without distraction, and maybe pick up some Olympic action. I'm still writing for GayWired and was offered an editor position there, but am going to be the Student Services Advisor for the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering hopefully starting next week, so I took that and am really excited about it. I'll be doing the official offer phone call, with salary negotiations and all, tomorrow sometime, and am aiming for upwards of $32k a year.
.
I went to see Wicked with Darryl and Alice Mallory two weeks ago, then to see the Beethoven night at the Hollywood Bowl with Grandma Connie and Grandpa Ted and Aaron (in the fancy terrace box seats!) and then to Les Miserables in Concert with Jon and Kendall last week. Wicked: A-. Beethoven Night: A+. Les Miz in Concert: B-. Hoping to see a few more concerts at the Bowl, since I've really gotten a taste for it now!
.
Wow, it sure seemed like there was a lot more going on, but those things have really eaten up all my time and energy lately. Sheesh.
