Top Shows of the Week

Honorable Mentions: CSI, "Go to Hell" (9:00pm Thursday, CBS)
Nicely intense episode with a killer ending (ex-pedophile pastor throws young sexually precocious girl over balcony as exorcism) and an interesting new character on Sara's swing shift.
.
America's Next Top Model, "The Girl Who Goes Bald" (8:00 Wednesday, The CW(
I always love the makeover episode, and for once the only girl who cried had good reason (Bianca lost her hair). I liked Victoria, the Yalie, but she needed to learn to quit talking back to Twiggy, and she got sent home. Emma and I loved that Saleshia was in the bottom two.
.
3. Women's Murder Club, "Welcome to the Club" (9:00pm Friday, ABC)
The premiere of this new Angie Harmon show was intense, funny and fun. Angie Harmon has lost her scratch in the voice and a few pounds too, as if that were possible. I look forward to next week when the serial killer who ruined Harmon's character's marriage returns.
.
2. Bones, "Death in the Saddle" (8:00pm Tuesday, Fox)
Unfortunately this gruesome episode, in which a man has his feet cut off and eyes gouged out, came on while we were eating dinner. It was an interesting look into a fetish I knew nothing about: horses and riders (horses being humans dressed and acting like horses). It was a bit odd but Brennan's explanations to conservative Booth about the validity and appropriateness of bizarre fetishes were funny, interesting and informative. Love her.
.
1. Private Practice, "In Which Addison Finds the Magic" (9:00pm Wednesday, ABC)
I'm a bit embarassed to select this as the best episode of the week, but I admit I am a bit more sappy these days. From Naomi inundated by cake from the hot receptionist to Pete kicking his late wife's tombstone to the poor woman who couldn't have sex because it hurt so much, this episode had the possibility of total destruction for some characters. The best was at the end when Naomi blew up at the receptionist, realizing she was substituting cake for sex or love or sadness and saying "and now this boy is baking cakes at me!" Then of course the magic moment (they were all searching for the elusive "magic" in love) at the end when the sexless couple finally can do it and brings their happiness into the office, hugging and cheering, and Naomi says, "Magic." Cute.
