Second Day of the Last Week
I just want to go on record that today has been, all things considered, a strangely good day. I slept solidly for most of the night, then after a bathroom trip I slept some, spent some time chilling in bed listening to classical music, and thought about the greatness this summer will bring. Then I got up, showered, and lay in bed for a while dreading my necessary walk to the end of the street for groceries (not a fun walk), then actually got up and did it, and it was fine! I had some oatmeal and a breakfast shake, then found out that my plane flight was confirmed, made a DMV appointment, and now am listening to a particularly funny "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me." It's also drizzling a bit and the rain smells beautiful on the pavement.
