Today was a great day for some very nerdy reasons.
.
First, I had a nice walk through London with Harriet.
.
Second, I called Dad for his birthday and I got a cheap rate from the nice guy at the corner store, who dealt with all of us being drunk off our asses (well, not me) Saturday night for Faye's birthday party, and is really nice anyweay.
.
Third, and most important, I have been very sad because we don't get LivingTV, the channel that plays CSI every night. So what happened? Channel Five (there are five main channels here...BBC One, BBC Two, ITV, Four and Five) introduced a new channel, FiveUS, that launched today. And we do get that channel under our cable (you have to pay for any TV here through a TVG license, so you might as well get cable with your internet, but even that gives you only what basic cable gives you in the States). Well, last night Channel Five played its usual ONE episode per week of CSI (at 11:30. Now honestly), and I noticed it was the pilot (an excellent piece of work, as pilots go, actually, although I'd love to hear from my film/tv friends about their thoughts). Then they announced how they were going to launch FiveUS:
.
THE ENTIRE CSI SERIES FROM THE BEGINNING...AN EPISODE A NIGHT!
.
I'm happy.
