My face is now worth $5000 more than it was before. Getting implants is a relatively painless process, so I can see why Pam Anderson got and then removed her double Ds...it's so easy to make a switch! Fortunately Andrew was around to take me to get my prescriptions because I was in some legitimate pain, lolling around his front seat humming along with Joanna Gleason through my blood-soaked gauze and trying to enjoy my hand-scooped but already melted chocolate shake sticking to the titanium bolts and sutures in my gums. Once I got the penicillin and, more importantly, vicodin, we went to Shannon's to get some ice and watch Law and Order while I entered euphoria, then sat on a train after realizing the headphones I stole from Emma's room don't work. My new computer is beautiful and has a DVD burner for...g-rated movies. Ha. Once I got to Union Station I waited around for Katie for a while and wrote some thank you notes for the generous graduation gifts, all the while trying (successfully, for the most part) to catch the eye of the cute waiter at Traxx.
.
Katie and I were zonked last night so we watched Footballers' Wive$ earlier than usual and were in bed by ten. I fell asleep listening to how Bush wants no gay marriage...again...so that the Republicans can win elections by bringing out intolerant people to vote. I struggle with not getting to personally upset about the entire fact that other people can decide if I can get married or not, seeing as it is no one else's business; their taxes aren't affected, and in fact their lives are not affected by my marriage so I don't understand how someone can legitimately feel it is his right to stop me from doing so. I had horrible dreams all night about it and woke up to it again today. It really is getting to be too much; even people who support gay marriage don't seem to realize how blatantly discriminatory this whole thing is. If this was a racially motivated issue no one would stand for it, but we don't have that respect yet.
.
So ends my treatise, as a tour is about to depart.

surgery, gay marriage
