Choices

I never liked the catty-backstabbing, me-only-matters survival politics of certain humans. Finding true, genuine souls are like a dime in dozen.

Thankfully, once I've found them. It becomes a life commitment for me.

Perhaps it is because I came from a very migratory background of constantly seeking 'peaceful-co-existence' and leaving toxic environments quickly.

Perhaps it is because I have a pretty astute sense of judging unsavory characters early.

But one isn't always correct or perfect.

While it is in the choices we made that defines our future, sometimes, one may not have the appropriate level of clarity, experience or knowledge to decide.

Hence, regrets.

Like the imperfection of any human soul- sometimes our humaneness cloud an otherwise informed decision.

Lust, blinded love, avarice, jealousy, lies, deception- all paint an opaque perception of reality.

But "Truth is singular. Its 'versions' are mistruths."

It's been a hectic few weeks. And I've been pulled into numerous activities beyond my core focuses.

In some ways, I didn't know I was wandering so much I got lost.

Maybe it's time to plant my feet and stand firm for a few much needed moments.
