Okay, here we go. I hope you will be favorably impressed, considering how long I've been away.
Aigh. I don't like the changes LJ has made.
Chrysalis by Moonlight. I am very proud of this piece. A concave moon, in copper, with a silver nimbus of light surrounding the edge of the moon. A chrysalis waits, hanging from a bare winter branch, for its time to open.
This is the bail for one of the new pieces. Please notice the shooting star. :)
Arabic sundial. Why? It reminds me of clockworks from antique clocks, and Arabic designwork. I love the way this came out.
Another shot, trying to get the full effect of the semi-translucent bead with the shine of the silver and copper.
This is a tiny pendant, called The Little Prince's Moon.(I hope you know that book) The moon is the size of a quarter. I like this piece, but I might still change it, as I wonder if the large bead dangling from the bottom is too much.
Cicada on a Leaf. This is part of the new directions, kind of like the Monstera piece. I am proud and terrified of the new horizons I am setting for myself.
A shot from above. I used square wire for the insect legs. That really makes them look real.
A shot from the front, showing you the legs, and how the whole thing looks good from every angle. That was a pain, let me tell you. Especially because I wanted it to look like it had just landed on the leaf.
A pendant I made for my niece. Square wire, set at an angle, gives it a cool, modern look.
What do you think?
