Whew! I've been working hard, although I always feel at the end of it, "surely I have more to show for all this time?" It feels like huge amounts of work, until I hit show-time, then I always worry that I don't have enough. Well, without further ado, here are pictures of my most recent work. :)
Ha, Ha! The finished dragon ring! Getting good pictures of this has been very difficult.
This is what he looked like originally....
Since he was such a pale citrine, I did a black enamel background in the bottom of the bezel. That way, you can see his detail. That's a copper coin, based on the Han dynasty coins, that I reticulated and worked to make it look very old.
A wonderful shot of his back, where you can see his ears.
Again, you can see how he does have a lovely color. And the ring is one of my adjustable ones, with a sturdy, thick silver band.
This is a moonstone face, that I made into a royally fun adjustable ring. (I know. I couldn't resist.) I am really pleased with the crown on this piece. Heck, it's one of my favorites.
How into dragons are you? This jade piece has three on the front....
And one on the back! Don't you love that? I love it. I'm very proud of this idea, the copper cutout with the jade showing through.
Ah yes, and the god's eye agate! This ring came out great, if I do say so myself. Again, on an adjustable band, because I love creating those.
There will be more wonderful pieces at the show, and I will try to post more pictures again, later. All of these pieces look even better in person. I hope I can get even better shots. :) Whoo! Tired now.
Please, tell me what you think. I value your feedback.
