The Stock Market
We always just pass by this resto whenever we're walking around The Fort Highstreet. We did try to have dinner here before but we were number 6 or 8 in the waitlist so we transferred.. Hehe.
Now, here's my chance to write about this place coz finally.. we got in this time around. Haha!
I must admit.. that the price really did intimidate me at first. So I kinda ordered based on the price. Haha! *guilty*. =P I didn't end up ordering the least expensive though,, I think it was the 2nd or 3rd from the least expensive list. Haha! Hard times call for intense saving. =P
Gladly, I did make the right choice with our orders. I loved it!
Cream of Wild Mushroom Soup with Truffle Oil - (P260.00)
Good soup. Very good soup. :) It was thick and tasty. Really worth it. Good for sharing for two too. :)
Smothered Pork Chops with Sweet Mashed Potato - (P330.00)
My order! And biases aside, I highly recommend this. It was tender, meaty (? haha!), the gravy was delish, and the mashed potato was really not that sweet (just the way I like it!).
Pulled Pork BBQ with Frisco Slaw and Mashed Potato - P375.00
Arvic's order. The sauce was a bit too sweet for me. But the meat was tender as well. And yes, the mashed potato was delish too. :D I didn't try the Frisco Slaw though.. so I can't really commend it. Hehe.
I think our friends ordered the Tenderloin Steak which costs ~P1000.00. I wasn't able to take a bite though, I was too hungry and busy gulping down my chops. :)
Now I'm getting hungry.. Off to have some brunch.
