Wow, what a party! This year's burgerfest was pretty amazing to be honest. People started coming at around 3pm for the moon bounce, we cooked a *lot* of burgers, hot dogs, sausages, steaks, beef ribs, and everyone had an excellent time....
And many of us went in the moon bounce, I cannot stress how much fun that thing was. We wound up having it all night, so I set up a halogen work lamp and we enjoyed the evening.
Burgerfest is really a social type of party, it was good to see people talking and all. I got to spend some time with a number of people, got an amazing book about watch manufacture (reading it not, it boggles my mind) from Doug, and chatted about how life has been in Boston since OPN with Kiran. Just good to catch up with people.
The weather outside was perfect, mid-80's with no hurricanes and a clear sky at night. Mosquito activity around the moon bounce was minimal thanks to the magnet running full steam the previous week (caught a whole bag full of asian tigers) coupled with a bit of fogger and six citronella tiki torches in the yard. That seems to keep things at bay.
Grill held up well, I did grilling in big batches and burned up about 3 bags of charcoal. I think it will hold up for another year or three.
Really, an excellent time. I have good friends, and it's nice to be able to see them. :-)
