Lotta burgers
Well, Burgerfest 2014 is digested. Pretty good party, the moon bounce this year was a fail (kept collapsing and they picked it up early) so next year I will order one from *anywhere* except Awesome bounce. They sucked completely. And I'll make sure to get it overnight so we can have a proper adult bounce party :-)
Rest of the party though was good. Bunch of people showed up, we cooked a lot of meat, and have plenty of food now for the next week or two. This evening we cooked the rest and I had *another* 3 hamburgers and a hot dog. Yep, CZ is looking big. Need to not eat for a few days here to trim things out.
Got to talk to Boots, Patty, and Megan about life and work and stuff. It's interesting to get back into social mode again, with the kids finally able to watch each other Alex and I can do a bit more. Which is nice, I got kind of toasty taking care of them non-stop for 14 years now. We can enter the next phase with Dylan and Tara, and I can enjoy watching Bri become a person from a pile of crossed ego-channels :-)
Today I went out and worked on some logs in the forest, still not sure what's up with the "new" elementary school. Update: I found the plans, apparently they are putting it right next to the existing school so it will be a bit closer but there will still be the field between it and our house. Still am going to plant some heavy coverage out there to make a green wall.
Ok, time for snuggles.
