Last night Alex, Bec, and I went to the Christmas revels. Which required driving in DC, which always requires breaking a number of traffic laws to get from point a to b. The speed and red light cameras make this a lot less fun, I probably got hit with a few of them. But if you can't do illegal things safely, then how can you possibly drive in that dump?
Next time I'll take the subway.
The show was incredible. It was the 20's English one, which meant that you got to see several periods of dress on the stage at once. The dancing was great, the music was amazing, and the choirs were quite good. It was a fun story, good backing. Some of the Revels I am not too into, but I always like the Irish, English, and French ones. Alex says the Canadian one was amazing, maybe I'll catch it sometime. So we had fun.
Afterwards we went to Double T at midnight, and toasted in my birthday. Then dropped Bec off, then home, and to bed. Today has been spent relaxing, cleaning up the yard a bit, doing a few small errands, and basically relaxing. The kids have been nice, and I have a beautiful balloon at my seat.
So far 44 is looking to be a pretty good year. I think it's going to be interesting, things will get better, and I'm doing a lot more interesting little things with myself (clock, watch work, stuff like that). Good time to be alive, wonder what I will do next...
