I'm slightly sick of all the damned cold.
It's the middle of March. What the hell?!
Not looking for skirts or anything...I dress pretty much the same all year round. Ponytail, jeans, sweater. Slacks on Mondays and Tuesdays cause work doesn't allow jeans those two days. Coat in the winter, jacket in spring and fall, and sometimes a t-shirt in the summer!
How fucking routine. But the icy patches on the sidewalk, the chilling wind, waking up cold...washing my hair at six pm so it'll be dry by the next morning...
Not that this is news to anyone not in Hawaii. I just cracked a little looking out the window today and seeing snow drifting down.
I keep the curtains in my office closed in the winter because grey skies and blinding or dirty snow aren't worth the draft. But my coworkers seem to think sunlight is healthy or something.
No garden this year---too lazy to start tomatos. Might do basil, still have time, and the chives are still alive from last year, even though my cat has developed a taste for them. Herbs are the most worth the time, anyway, when you compare the cost of fresh herbs. Never been a flower person.
I want to grow lavender, but I understand it's impossible to start from seed...chances of germination are low. Haven't seen seedlings sold around here, and haven't seen any plants to take cuttings from.
And all of this planty digging in the dirt stuff is moot when the dirt is frozen.
Sigh.
