Disturbing article on Katrina aftermath

I couldn't have read this at a better time. I was getting increasingly upset at the media showing heroic footage of rescues and government officials taking focus off the fact that these people didn't have help for 5 days, not to mention the oppression and racism they were faced with.

Holy shit, when I posted a link to this article in my last entry, even I was slighty skeptical that the story was real, or from real people. This additional information makes it so much more solid! I'm going to consider forwarding all of this information to local media outlets, and maybe even printing it all out to pass out locally.

I need to edit my entry now to add that info.
