Not a great night

I hate Long Island. I hate the Long Island Railroad. I hate people, too. On the way home from our show tonight Will dropped me off at the Amityville train station since it was close to the venue, it kinda sucks that I rarely get a ride home from shows but that's another story. I ran up to the mezzanine to try and catch a train that was boarding and when I got there I heard no announcements letting me know if this was my train. I asked some asshole sitting down if the train was going toward NYC and he said no, so I got off. Of course this in fact was my train and now I was stuck waiting at this cold train station for 2 hours until my next train comes, I took a walk to a nearby store to pick up something to drink and a phone card so I could maybe call someone to keep myself from going crazy due to two hours of waiting. Once I got to the payphone it didn't accept the phone card and refused the calls I was trying to make. Typical. Finally the train came and after taking that, two subway trains and a bit of a walk in the rain, I'm home.

On another note the show was pretty fun, not much of a turnout but that was to be expected for a Monday night. The bands we played with were swell and people seemed to enjoy our set. I got to gig-test my new distortion pedal that was recently made for me. It fucking roars, all the harmonics sounded beautiful and my chords were full of that sludgy crunch that I've always loved. It's nice to finally have a distortion tone that I'm fully happy with and pretty much matches the tone I've had in my head. I have to send the pedal back soon so some final adjustments can be made but I'll post pics when it's all finished.
