I'm really excited to see Sin City next week. I've been waiting eagerly since seeing the first 8-minute preview months ago from the NYC comic con. I've been a fan(dork) of the graphic novels for years. The visuals look completely mind-blowing and I'm glad a fearless director like Robert Rodriguez let Frank Miller (author/artist of Sin City) co-direct the film.
As far as other things go, last Friday I went with Anna and Hunter to Irving plaza to see SLINT!!! It was exciting, I never thought I'd ever get to hear those songs live and it was every bit as amazing as I had hoped. We met up with
sworntotheblack at the show and hung out some afterwards before he went with friends to see Xiu Xiu at The Knitting Factory (You have to come back to NYC soon!).
Saturday we played a show with Copremesis, which was fun of course. We always have a blast whenever we play with those guys. They're the best. Monday I went to see The Pillows at the Knit with some friends. I've never seen so many asiaphiles/anime nerds gathered into one area, it was pretty strange. The show was great and they were really energetic. It was their first time in the US and from the crowd reaction I think they'll be back.
My Dad, brother and sister came from Florida this week so I spent Tuesday and Wednesday with them, I missed my siblings a ton and it was great to see them.
Saturday we're playing a Charity show in Woodmere, Long Island with Dimentianon and some others.
I've been pretty busy lately.
